The Amitex Clari-Fi Video and Image Enhancement Suite increases the capabilities of existing IR and EO cameras. Clari-Fi is a set of advanced algorithms that better utilize all available video information to see more than ever before. These algorithms include: advanced contrast enhancement to reduce shadows and overexposure, noise reduction, digitial zoom, sharpening, and interpolation, among others. All these capabilities reside on a small form factor FPGA card designed to fit into UAVs.
The benefit is more accurate identification, de facto range extension and actionable intelligence.
A customizable platform - FPGA
Clari-Fi runs many times faster than software based solutions. This is because Clari-Fi employes the parallel processsing power of a customized FPGA. The board shown to the right is capable of processing video and images in real time - much faster than any desktop solution.
In addition, the FPGA is extensible - the boards have room for a set of advanced capabilities which can be custom built for specific applications - including image mosaicing, object tracking, and fusion.
