Amitex, working with its customers and leading edge technology partners, provides best in class video enhancement solutions for demanding military and homeland security applications. Founded in 2000, Amitex has worked to define, create and bring to market a small form factor, low power requirement FPGA, along with supporting software, to enhance the entire "video chain" - from sensor to storage and retrieval. The solution has been fielded by the military in UAVs and other airborne applications.
The Clari-Fi Suite
Amitex and its partners create cutting edge video and image processing solutions. This is comprised of three components, known as the "Clari-Fi Suite"
Clari-Fi has a hardware component - a small form factor, low power, highly configurable FPGA board. This board provides real time enhancments to UAV and space constrained cameras. The board enhances the RAW sensor data, and provides an enhanced video stream that increases the power of cameras. Amitex works with UAV gimbal manufacturers and with camera vendors with high power IR and EO cameras to increase the NIIRS ratings of these systems.
Clari-Fi has a software component - a high end image processing software solution that allows for cutting edge forensic analysis of still images or video. This solution can be integrated into existing control software and hardware (joystick control of enhancements), and works with a wide variety of user interface devices.
Clari-Fi also has a video management storage solution that allows for a breakthrough in video retrieval and organization. The solution allows for instant random access to video - meaning that there is no buffering delay, and no video hesitation when moving through gigabytes of stored information. This solution also allows for bookmarking and annotation of video, with an easy to use interface for outputting just the "highlights" of video clips.
